What We Do

We are committed to developing supportive partnerships with small, locally-led but under-resourced education projects, in which we can see the potential to develop sustainable free schools for the children we wish to help. We believe that where such projects spring from a locally perceived need, and are led from within the local community, to serve the local community, then they are much more likely to succeed, to thrive and to endure.

Having identified these projects personally, by visiting them at work in their communities, we build close personal relationships and strong working partnerships in order to provide:

School premises, teachers, physiotherapist, social worker, support workers, uniforms, books, writing materials, teaching resources and school meals, all free of charge.

Sponsorship for our pupils to transfer to mainstream schooling when they are ready, thereby gaining access to a broad and balanced curriculum and nationally recognised qualifications.

Sponsorship of the accreditation for our desert camp school pupils to sit the Rajasthan Education Board Examinations at their appropriate levels.

 

Three-year vocational traineeships in Animal Care at the award-winning TOLFA animal rescue hospital in Ajmer.

Part-time classes for children who must work to help support their families and after-school homework support classes for those sponsored to attend mainstream schooling.

Food aid, fresh water and hygiene products in response to the 2020 / 2021 pandemic lockdowns in India.
